Our Teaching for Change program brings Rye High School students together with Day Laborers at the Don Bosco Center in Port Chester to tutor in the English as a Second Language program. The program transports the students to the Center, coordinates activities between the students, their parents and teachers and the other agencies that support the volunteer efforts at the Don Bosco Center. The students provide tutoring and work with their teachers to prepare lessons and provide materials to support their lessons. Over one hundred high school students, ages 14-18, participate in this program.
