Biography
Sara became a Rye Youth Council Advocate in the fall of 2006. She is a seasoned human services professional and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15+ years of experience working with adolescent and preadolescent populations. Before joining the Rye Youth Council, Sara worked for Westchester Jewish Community Services for 11 years in a variety of settings including: middle and high school counseling centers; a center for juvenile offenders; and a social support after-school program for gay and lesbian youth. Sara has been a diversity/anti-racism consultant to local human service agencies. She is also an adjunct professor at Fordham University teaching courses in Social Justice and Human Behavior. She was educated at Columbia School of Social Work.
